What is lancia scorpion?

The Lancia Scorpion, also known as the Lancia Montecarlo, is a sports car produced by the Italian automaker Lancia from 1975 to 1981. It was designed by Pininfarina and was the first Lancia vehicle to be powered by a mid-mounted engine.

The Scorpion was available in two body styles: a coupe and a targa-top convertible. It featured a 1.8-liter inline-four engine producing around 120 horsepower, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Scorpion had a lightweight fiberglass body and a low center of gravity, making it a nimble and agile performer on the road. It was well-received for its handling and driving dynamics, as well as its unique styling.

Despite its positive attributes, the Scorpion had a reputation for being unreliable and plagued with mechanical issues. Production of the Lancia Scorpion ceased in 1981 after only around 7,800 units were built.

Today, the Lancia Scorpion is a rare and sought-after collector's car, prized for its unique design and place in automotive history.
